Tour Hosts And Tour Events
When was the Tour launched?
The Tour was initiated in November 2017 with a celebration in Oakland, California of the release of the Energy Democracy book. This world premier book release was hosted by the Local Clean Energy Alliance as part of its Clean Power, Healthy Communities 2017 event, a 10-year anniversary and conference organized around the theme of “Bringing Energy to the Movement for Justice.”
With the release of Energy Democracy, preparations were begun for the Energy Democracy National Tour 2018. The first event in the Tour took place in Washington, DC on April 14, 2018, and events concluded in November.
